It is with great sadness that we report the passing today of Right Worthy Frater William John (Bill) Foley, KStJ, VIII° & 9°, OCR, a wonderful Man and Mason who was a friend to a great many and a frater to all.
He was born 27-Feb-1924, raised a Master Mason in Nov-1949, admitted to Demiurgus College Oct-1974, serving as Celebrant 1991-92 and was the college Representative to High Council from 2002-18.
He was acknowledged a Magus (honoris causa) in Oct-2014 for his service to his mother college and St Christopher College, of which he was a founder and made honorary member in 2005, and to the province in numerous roles, include Suffragan for 2005-06.
Highly respected and well-loved, he will be dearly missed with this Society and freemasonry more broadly. Bill had a lifetime of service, including to the Venerable Order of St John, by which he as made a Knight of Grace for his selfless work.
